Jim Vernon started Assistance France in the summer of 2009. He is an american, who had a successful computer consulting business in the USA and came to live in France in 2002. 
Michelle his wife is French and grew up in the La Rochelle area. She has 7 brothers and sisters here in France.
Both tourist and making France home
Since coming to France for the first time in 1996, Jim has experienced first hand both being a tourist and making France home. He has experienced both the trials of renting as well as building his own home. Through the years, Jim has dealt with most of the processes of establishing a life in France.
